APPLY FOR THE PATRICK A. CLUTTER SCHOLARSHIP

The Patrick A. Clutter Scholarship was founded to assist students of Wheeling Park High School with financial resources to attend colleges, universities, or vocational centers of their choice.  Pat Clutter, long-time educator at Wheeling Park High School, founded and established the Radio, and Television curriculum, as it is known today. The purpose of this scholarship is to make it possible for students to continue their education in the fields of Radio or Television. It is also the purpose of this scholarship to encourage young men and women to become better citizens by giving them the opportunity to further their education.

 

The Fund is invested and managed by Wesbanco Bank, Wheeling as Trustee under the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley.

 

The Scholarship Committee is composed of five individuals who serve without compensation and who are charged with the responsibility of selecting deserving students to receive scholarship, the amount of each scholarship award, and the enforcement of all rules, regulations, and requirements.

ELIGIBILITY: Any young man or woman who is a legal resident of Ohio County, West Virginia, who has attended Wheeling Park High School and who has completed Radio and Television classes for two consecutive years and who is a member of the current graduating class of Wheeling Park High School.

 

SELECTION: Scholastic achievement will be given strong consideration. The Scholarship Committee will consider school performance, need, academic record and demonstrated aptitude of motivation to succeed in the pursuit of a qualified career path. All current high school applicants must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A.

The dollar amount(s) of the scholarship by the Patrick A Clutter Scholarship Committee.

The committee is made up by the following members:  Bernie Albertini, Angie Clutter, Crissy Clutter, Brenda Danehart, David Flatley, Shane Mallett, Marcus Mullin, & Tim McCormick. 

The Scholarship will be for one year only.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May each year. This date floats based on graduation date - check with instructor on exact due date.

 

INFORMATION: The Committee may establish proper rules, regulations, and conditions as the Scholarship Committee may determine. The Committee may establish proper rules, regulations, and conditions for the awarding, and may amend the same from time to time. The scholarships are to be awarded only to students who have graduated from public schools in Ohio County, West Virginia. The Committee in selecting a recipient shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, creed, or sex.
